Post 2: Literature in flight

 Good evening class,

I believe that literature will hold a high place in my major and career field choice. I am chosen to be a commercial pilot. I say that it will have a place here because our everyday lives revolve around reading and writing, and this goes even more into what we do for work. No matter where you are you must be able to read and write. The better you are at this the easier your life will become.

As a pilot I will be responsible for keeping up with everything the FAA puts out there. This could be anything from FAR/AIM to ADs. If you do not have a good understanding on literature this will all become confusing and you will fail at your job. On top of that writing reports, tower calls, everything, is something that will be done daily. Again if you are not strong in the field of literature you will not make a good pilot. This is very important to me because pilots that are not good run the risk of never coming home and bringing many innocent lives down with them.

    1. I do greatly agree with your statement, I was a psychology major before transferring to Aviation. In those classes I had to deal with a lot of case studies and writing papers non stop.
