Post 5: The Triple Arrows

Merriam-Webster defines symbolism as "the use of symbols to express or represent ideas or qualities in literature, art, ect." The symbol that I want to talk about is the Triple Arrows of Beretta. I want to talk about this because I hold them very near and dear to me and have carried their weapon everyday for the past 10 year both in the military and in civilian life. Those simple three arrows to me are a sign of protection, peace, and reliability. I used that symbol to pick what was going to be the protection for my family. While I thank God everyday that I do not have to use this, but I also thank him everyday that he has given me something that will never fail if it is needed.

Sunday night came way to fast again. Adam got ready to leave his family again in search of a better future for them. It is a long drive to the Middle Georgia campus, but it is the road leading to Adam's dreams. He drives through the night to get to class an hour before it starts and walks up the stairs to the class room. Professor Allan comes in and gives the days lecture to the class. After class Adam walks back to his car and starts the long road back to his children. It is a task that becomes more overwhelming with time, but he keeps the thought of what the rewards will be in such a short time. This is what keeps him going through this every week.
